All potato farmers are familiar with the approximately 15 % of their fields that poses extra challenges in terms of weeds. With an Opti Weeder you can get past that and hence increase your yield in those problem filled areas. Finally a mechanical weeder that is efficient and has large capacity.

Opti Weeder is invented and developed by Michael Stolberg-Rohr based on the idea of making a robust mechanical weeder, which efficiently fights weeds in crops grown on ridges and gives measurable results for the farmer as well as the environment

The construction is solid, maintenance at a minimum, and the adjustments of the weeder through out the season is done manually and is easily done by the driver of the tractor.

The mechanical weeder has a unique steering system, which means it settle itself down on the ridge and weed accurate and close to the crop without damaging it, even in curves and gradients.

The machine is driven at 10-20 km/h which gives an average capacity with a 4 row Opti Weeder of app. 3,5 hectare/ hour.

Opti Weeder also removes difficult weeds and can weed through out the entire growing season. – from before germination and up to harvest. Weeding before germination is recommended – then you are ahead of the weeds, and typically you can handle the weeds with just two more passes.

The machine is invented, developed, manufactured in Denmark, and serviced from Denmark.

Opti Weeder is available in withs of 2-4-6-8 rows and with a wide variety of tools.
Opti Weeder is versatile and can be adjusted to handle weeds in basically all situations. The element for mechanical growth stop of potatoes – Crown Crusher – can be bought and mounted on the same frame as Opti Weeder.
